Alsigontekwo is the Abenakis name of the Saint-François River. Jeffrey is presently conducting an online inventory of the many aquatic species that inhabit the Saint-François River, which flows through his native city of Drummondville, Québec. Jeffrey Gallant is a codirector of GEERG, the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group. The mission of GEERG is to study the Greenland shark and other Canadian shark species in their natural environment in order to better understand and protect them. |
